Canon Hongkong Company Limited (Canon Hong Kong) has announced the appointment of Gary Lee as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Lee joined Canon Hong Kong in 1997, bringing more than three decades of experience in accounting and finance.
Over his tenure, he has held senior management roles spanning various business units and geographies.
In his new capacity, he will oversee operations in Hong Kong, Macau and the Greater Bay Area.
“Canon Hong Kong has a deep bonding with Hong Kong people for over 50 years,” Lee said in a statement. “Leveraging the city’s unique geographical advantage, we have achieved remarkable growth locally and across borders. I look forward to striving for new heights with our talented team by driving digital transformation through innovative imaging technologies and intelligent business solutions, while remaining committed to our corporate philosophy of ‘Kyosei.’”
Lee graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University in 1992 with a degree in Business Administration, later earning an Executive MBA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012.
He was promoted to senior director in 2011, overseeing finance, accounting, information technology, supply chain management, and legal and compliance across markets such as Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, the Philippines and Mongolia.
From 2017 to 2024, he served as vice president and chief financial officer of Canon India, managing finance, legal, corporate communications, government relations and central procurement.
Canon Hong Kong said Lee’s global insight and proven leadership will help the company remain competitive in a rapidly evolving industry.
