In response to growing consumer interest in sustainable transportation, global automotive brands Omoda and Jaecoo, distributed by Eres Automotive, opened their first dealership in the Philippines on December 18, 2024.
The new showroom is located at Gaisano Mall in the North Reclamation Area of Cebu City.
Omoda and Jaecoo are international vehicle brands under Chery, tailored for markets outside China. The dealership introduces Filipino drivers to a range of electric and hybrid vehicles, aiming to address the increasing demand for sustainable mobility options.
“With a rising demand for electric and hybrid vehicles, we see great potential in Cebu and the broader Philippine market,” said Carlo Joseph Japson, CEO of Eres Automotive Inc. “Our partnership with Omoda and Jaecoo will allow us to introduce innovative and eco-friendly vehicles to Filipino drivers who are ready to embrace a cleaner, more sustainable way of driving.”
The dealership features several models, including the Omoda C5, a vehicle designed with the “Cross F Futur” philosophy, combining advanced technology with affordability.
Priced under Php 1.3 million, it offers features such as a Smart Key with Remote Engine Start and a Voice Control Command System.
The Omoda E5, the brand’s first fully electric vehicle, is also available. It boasts a WLTP-rated range of 430 km and fast-charging capabilities, recharging from 30% to 80% in 28 minutes.
Priced under Php 1.7 million, the E5 comes with options including a complimentary 7kW wall charger for its Comfort variant.
Additionally, the JAECOO EJ6, a versatile electric SUV, offers options for rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, with a range of up to 421 km. It features adaptive cruise control, wireless charging, smartphone integration, and advanced safety systems, making it suitable for both urban and off-road use.
The Cebu dealership marks the initial step in Omoda and Jaecoo’s broader strategy to expand across the Philippines. The brands plan to establish more dealerships nationwide, bringing sustainable and advanced mobility solutions to a wider audience.
