Thailand Post, the largest postal service provider in the country, has partnered with bolttech, a global insurtech company, to launch an embedded compulsory motor insurance service.
This new offering aims to provide customers with easy access to quality insurance products through Thailand Post’s extensive network, available both online and offline.
The motor insurance, underwritten by ERGO Insurance (Thailand), covers personal cars and trucks. It includes comprehensive protection for drivers, passengers, and individuals affected by road accidents.
The policy covers death, disability, medical expenses, and loss of limb, offering peace of mind to customers. Policies can be purchased through Thailand Post’s website or by scanning a QR code on receipts from post office transactions.
Payment methods include credit cards, online banking, QR Code, and Line Pay, among others.
Initially available in six provinces—Ayutthaya, Ang Thong, Lopburi, Sing Buri, Chainat, and Saraburi—the service will be rolled out nationwide by December 31, 2024.
Customers receive their policies via email, ensuring immediate coverage, and the policies can also be used for vehicle tax renewals at any post office.

By integrating competitively priced motor insurance into its network, Thailand Post continues to innovate and expand its service offerings.

The initiative is also expected to drive growth in the insurance industry across Thailand.
