SM J Mall is set to unveil “J District,” a new immersive space that brings the cultural charm of Japan to Cebu, opening to the public on November 29.
Located on the mall’s second level near Izakaya Terrace, “J District” offers visitors an interactive experience inspired by iconic Japanese landmarks.
Guests can embark on a train ride that simulates travel through destinations such as the tranquil Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and the traditional red gates of the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. An Anime Room provides a unique space for fans of Japanese animation.
Patrons have the opportunity to dress in Japanese-inspired costumes and use props to capture memorable photos. To access “J District,” shoppers need to spend a minimum of ₱1,500 at any of SM J Mall’s stores, which grants them two entry passes upon receipt validation at the registration area.
A media preview is scheduled for November 28 at 5 p.m., offering an exclusive first look at the attraction.
SM J Mall management said the new feature aims to provide an authentic Japanese experience without the need for international travel, catering to families and friends seeking unique entertainment options in Cebu.
