Singapore-based enterprise artificial intelligence company Whale has raised an additional $40 million in a Series C extension, bringing the total funding secured in the round to $100 million as it accelerates international expansion and enterprise AI deployments.
The latest investment was led by CMB International, through an AI-focused investment fund, and SMBC Asia Rising Fund, the corporate venture capital fund of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
Other participants included Krungsri Finnovate, Singtel Innov8, Hyundai Motor Group, and Charisma Partners.
Whale did not disclose its valuation.
The company said the fresh capital will support expansion across North America and Asia-Pacific, while laying the groundwork for entry into Europe and the Middle East.
It also plans to grow its global workforce, deepen enterprise partnerships, and expand integrations with local infrastructure.
Headquartered in Singapore, Whale develops an AI Operating System designed to help businesses manage real-world operations using data collected from cameras, sensors, and audio devices.
Its proprietary Business World Model processes physical-world signals to automate workflows and generate operational insights.
The company said it serves more than 1,600 enterprise customers in over 45 countries across industries including retail, automotive, manufacturing, financial services, and food and beverage. Its platform manages more than 600,000 edge AI nodes globally.
Whale’s products include SpaceSight, which analyzes video and sensor data to monitor customer traffic, operational compliance, and store performance, and Echo, which evaluates frontline customer conversations to improve sales and service quality.
The company also offers AI tools for workflow automation, knowledge management, content distribution, and AI governance.
In May 2025, Whale raised a combined $60 million through its Series C funding round to help businesses improve sales and operations using its AI assistant.
That fundraising included a Series C2 round backed by Bosch Ventures, Singtel Innov8, MDI Ventures, MTR Lab, and Gentree Fund.
The company’s earlier Series C1 round was backed by Temasek and Shanghai-based Linear Capital in early 2023.
Whale was founded by Jerry Ye, a former data scientist at Meta.
The latest funding reflects continued investor interest in enterprise AI platforms that help companies improve productivity and lower operating costs as businesses expand the use of artificial intelligence beyond consumer-facing applications.
