Filipino Homes, a leading real estate group, is set to launch Bayanihan.com, a global online portal dedicated to connecting Filipinos worldwide with cultural festivals and events.

The platform will serve as a comprehensive directory, offering event organizers a space to promote their festivals and celebrations on both local and international stages.

Scheduled for launch in October 2024, Bayanihan.com is designed to be a user-friendly, free-to-use site.

It aims to unite the Filipino diaspora by providing a platform where cultural events can be promoted, helping Filipinos around the world stay in touch with their heritage.

“Our goal is to bridge Filipinos across the globe by celebrating and promoting the vibrant Filipino culture,” said Anthony Gerard O. Leuterio, founder of Filipino Homes. “Bayanihan.com ensures that every Filipino celebration, whether a small local fiesta or a grand international festival, receives the attention it deserves.”

The portal will allow event organizers to post detailed information about their festivals, including photos and updates, giving them an avenue for cross-promotion in other countries.

The website also aims to help organizers attract sponsorships and secure financial support to enhance the visibility and impact of their events.

“Bayanihan.com provides event organizers with the tools they need to reach a broader audience and attract financial backing from sponsors, ultimately enhancing their events and drawing more exhibitors,” Leuterio added.

The platform also serves as a community hub for Filipinos and cultural enthusiasts to engage, share experiences, and participate in discussions about various cultural celebrations.

It emphasizes fostering the Filipino spirit of bayanihan—a sense of unity and collaboration—while helping preserve and promote the country’s rich traditions for future generations.

Bayanihan.com’s launch comes amid a surge in the number of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), who make up a significant portion of the platform’s target audience.

According to data from Statista, around 2.33 million OFWs were reported in 2023, nearly double the figure from the previous year. The platform seeks to cater to this growing population, ensuring that Filipinos abroad remain connected to their cultural roots.

The site is officially registered and patented with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPO), marking its commitment to providing a secure and accessible space for both organizers and users.

Leuterio added that Bayanihan.com’s mission is to be more than just an event listing site. “Our vision is to create a space where Filipinos can come together, celebrate their heritage, and stay connected, no matter where they are in the world,” he said.
