SM Prime Holdings’ new SM Seaside Cebu Arena will open this month with a series of concerts headlined by Filipino pop group BINI, as the company looks to position Cebu as a major destination for live entertainment and events.
The arena will officially begin operations with BINI’s “Signals World Tour 2026” on July 11, followed by performances from IV of Spades on July 18, TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan on Sept. 5, Hillsong Worship on Sept. 18, and two shows by LANY on Nov. 6 and Nov. 12.
The venue, located beside SM Seaside City Cebu and connected to the mall through a bridgeway, is designed to host concerts, sporting events and international productions.
“For years, SM has helped shape the country’s live entertainment landscape by playing host to world-class events and bringing them closer to Filipinos,” Arnel Gonzales, vice president and general manager of SM Seaside Cebu Arena, said in a statement.
“With SM Seaside Cebu Arena, we are extending that commitment to Cebu… bringing more international concerts, premier sporting events, and the best customer experience for fans.”
The company said the arena is expected to generate economic activity by attracting visitors from across the Philippines, boosting hotel occupancy, restaurants, retail establishments and transportation services, while creating jobs for local communities.
The opening comes as Cebu continues to attract more large-scale concerts and events outside Metro Manila, reflecting growing demand for regional entertainment venues and supporting the province’s tourism industry.
SM said the arena forms part of its broader investment in Cebu alongside SM City Cebu and SM J Mall, aiming to strengthen the city’s position as a destination for entertainment, business and tourism.
