RenewableEnergy.ph reported that PEZA has approved 21 solar manufacturing and renewable energy-related projects worth more than P97 billion, expected to create over 1,300 jobs, as it pushes green investments and embedded power systems in economic zones.
PEZA Director General Tereso Panga said at PhilEnergy 2026 that renewable energy remains a priority sector eligible for incentives under the Strategic Investment Priority Plan.
PEZA is also working with Meralco, Upgrade Energy Philippines, PNOC, IFC and other partners to develop solar-powered ecozones, embedded utilities, energy efficiency projects and emissions-tracking initiatives to help locators reduce electricity costs and improve sustainability.
