CEBU, Philippines — Mizu, a long-standing Japanese restaurant at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, will reopen on April 28, 2026, as it seeks to reinforce its position as a go-to destination for authentic Japanese dining in the city.
The reopening marks the return of one of Cebu’s earlier Japanese dining concepts, with the restaurant maintaining a menu anchored on traditional culinary techniques.
Offerings include sushi and sashimi selections alongside a range of hot dishes prepared using classic methods.
The restaurant will be led by chef Nobuyuki Imamura, who introduces a menu built around his original creations.
The dishes aim to deliver a focused interpretation of Japanese flavors, emphasizing precision and adherence to traditional standards.

Mizu will also offer private dining spaces designed for small groups and intimate gatherings, as part of efforts to cater to both casual diners and customers seeking a more personalized dining experience.
Located within a major hotel complex in Cebu City’s commercial district, the restaurant is positioned to attract both local patrons and visiting guests, benefiting from steady foot traffic in the area.
The reopening comes as Cebu’s dining sector continues to recover and expand, supported by tourism activity and growing demand for diverse international cuisine.
Mizu will begin accepting diners from April 28, with reservations available through the hotel’s booking channels.
