Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte said she will continue to focus on her duties despite renewed scrutiny and political tensions surrounding her office.
In a statement on Monday, Duterte emphasized that her work in government remains ongoing, citing programs in education support, community outreach, and disaster response.
“My focus has always been clear: to serve the Filipino people with integrity and consistency. The work does not stop because of noise,” she said.
The Vice President is facing questions related to the use of confidential funds, as well as the possibility of new impeachment complaints. Previous impeachment efforts, however, did not prosper after being voided on procedural grounds.
Duterte said she respects institutional processes and will respond to the allegations through appropriate legal channels.
“There is a proper time and place for every issue. I will answer accordingly, but my responsibility to the public remains my foremost duty,” she added.

Some lawmakers and observers have called for further clarification on the issues, while others have urged that due process be observed.
Malacañang has yet to issue a detailed response to Duterte’s latest statement, although officials have earlier described political developments involving the Vice President as premature.
Analysts note that despite the issues, Duterte remains an influential political figure, with continued visibility in public engagements and government programs.
Her office said it will sustain ongoing initiatives in the coming weeks, particularly those aimed at supporting local communities.
