DUMPER Partylist distributed financial assistance to tricycle and habal-habal drivers in Davao Occidental and Davao Oriental earlier this week, expanding its support programme for transport workers in the Davao region.
The group, led by Representative Claudine Bautista-Lim, said nearly 5,000 drivers received P500 each under the initiative, which was aimed at helping informal sector transport workers cope with rising fuel prices and other economic pressures affecting their daily income.
According to DUMPER Party-list, the cash aid forms part of its continuing effort to provide immediate relief to drivers, who remain among the sectors most exposed to fluctuations in fuel costs and weak consumer demand.
The group said the programme is in line with its long-standing advocacy of promoting the welfare of drivers and pushing for measures that would improve their livelihood and working conditions.

Bautista-Lim said the assistance drive in the two Davao provinces is expected to be followed by similar distributions in other areas as the party-list broadens its outreach nationwide.
The group has consistently positioned itself as a representative of transport workers, backing programmes and policy measures focused on fuel subsidies, social protection, and more sustainable income support for drivers across the country.
The DUMPER Partylist is a Philippine political group representing drivers and transport workers, particularly those in the informal sector such as jeepney, tricycle, and habal-habal operators.
It advocates for policies aimed at improving the welfare and livelihood of drivers, including fuel subsidies, social protection, and income support measures.
The party-list has also been active in providing direct assistance through cash aid and community outreach programmes, especially during periods of economic strain.
