Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce announced today the successful conclusion of the International Live Commerce Expo 2024, organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion.
The event, held from September 25 to 29 at Samyan Mitrtown in Bangkok, showcased Thai products to a global audience, primarily targeting the Chinese market.
The expo featured prominent Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) from China who conducted live-streaming sessions to promote and sell Thai goods.
These live streams amassed a total of 115 million views from consumers across China, highlighting the significant demand for Thai products through digital commerce channels.
Throughout the five-day event, more than 60 live sessions were held daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, each contributing substantially to the overall sales performance.
Cumulative revenue from the expo exceeded THB 1.5 billion, with over 4.3 million orders placed for export.
The majority of these orders were directed towards China, underscoring the effectiveness of live commerce in expanding Thailand’s reach in international markets.
The strong performance of the expo demonstrates the potential of live-streaming as a powerful tool for promoting and selling products on a global scale.
The Ministry of Commerce highlighted the event as a pivotal achievement in its broader strategy to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and enhance the global presence of Thai products.
By leveraging influential global figures and innovative live commerce techniques, the ministry aims to sustain and expand these initiatives, particularly in emerging markets like China.
The success of the International Live Commerce Expo 2024 sets a new benchmark for future events, reinforcing Thailand’s commitment to advancing its e-commerce capabilities and ensuring the sustainable growth of its export sectors.
Moving forward, the ministry plans to continue collaborating with international partners to further elevate the profile of Thai products worldwide.
