Philippine Airlines (PAL) was voted the second most preferred airline in Southeast Asia in the 2025 Flyers’ Choice Awards, the carrier said on Tuesday, marking another recognition for the flag carrier’s service improvements.
The awards, conducted by AirlineRatings.com, a global airline safety and product rating platform covering more than 385 airlines worldwide, are based on customer-driven ratings that combine expert analysis with passenger feedback and votes.
Voting for the awards opened on April 3, 2025, with airlines classified by region and across categories including Best Cabin Crew, Best Uniform, and Greatest Peace of Mind.
“We thank the voting travelers for this special honor, reflecting the trust and satisfaction that all of us in Philippine Airlines strive to earn from our passengers,” PAL President Richard Nuttall said in a statement.
The recognition adds to PAL’s recent accolades. Earlier this year, Campaign Asia-Pacific’s Southeast Asia’s Top 50 Brands survey named the airline the Best Travel Brand in the Philippines and second in Southeast Asia.
In April, PAL was also ranked among the Top 10 Best Asia Pacific Airlines and recognized as the most punctual carrier in the region with an 86.07% on-time performance rate, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium.
The Flyers’ Choice awards, based on thousands of verified passenger votes, are closely watched by the aviation and travel industry as indicators of real passenger preferences.
PAL has been working to rebuild its reputation and market position following financial restructuring completed in recent years. The airline operates domestic and international routes from its Manila hub.
