Brembo Brings SE Asia Conference to PH for First Time; BSB Junrose Topbills Participants

CEBU, Philippines — Italian brake systems manufacturer Brembo is holding its Southeast Asia Customer Conference in the Philippines for the first time, drawing around 100 participants from across the region to Cebu City as it strengthens ties with distributors and reaffirms its focus on Asia’s growing automotive aftermarket.

The annual event, previously staged in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2024, marks Brembo’s effort to deepen regional engagement, though the company has no plans to expand manufacturing in the Philippines at this stage, according to local distributor BSB Junrose Corporation.

“For Brembo to hold its first conference here reflects how much the brand believes in Asia and the Philippines in general,” said Valerie Bangayan, Director at BSB Junrose. “But more importantly, it highlights the need for continued education and alignment on bringing premium, safe brake systems to Filipino motorists.”

BSB Junrose, one of Brembo’s major partners in Southeast Asia, operates four offices and four warehouses, distributing across the country to more than 1,000 customers.

The company officially partnered with Brembo in 2023, incorporating the Italian brand into its portfolio during its 55th anniversary.

“We’ve seen strong performance in key regions like Metro Manila and Cebu, with brake system sales showing momentum. Our consistent expansion is driven by product trust and a loyal network of mechanics and dealers,” Bangayan said.

She emphasized Cebu’s growing role in the firm’s expansion strategy, particularly in Visayas and Mindanao.

While BSB Junrose focuses on expanding its reach, Bangayan noted a key challenge facing the aftermarket industry: counterfeit parts. “Counterfeit parts do so much harm,” she said.

“Make sure your brakes work when they need to work. That’s why we’re committed to supporting, educating, and growing with our partners, whether through better product access, training support for workshops, or deeper dealer engagement,” Bangayan added.

The 2025 conference comes as Brembo shifts its positioning from being purely a component supplier to a solutions provider, supported by investments such as its €40 million motorcycle brake factory in Rayong, Thailand, which is now operational.

“For us, this event is not just about showcasing products. It’s about building long-term relationships that elevate the entire aftermarket ecosystem in the Philippines,” Bangayan added.

Founded in 1961, Brembo supplies braking systems to top automakers and elite motorsport teams worldwide.

BSB Junrose is a leading player in the Philippine automotive aftermarket sector, known for its uni-level distribution model emphasizing quick service, quality products, and competitive pricing.
