Megaworld’s MREIT Partners with Common Ground to Launch Digital Park for Startups in Manila

The new initiative, called Common Ground Digital Park McKinley Hill, will span 2,000 square meters inside the Intellectual Property Center in Taguig City.

MREIT Inc., the real estate investment trust arm of property developer Megaworld Corp, has partnered with flexible workspace provider Common Ground to launch a “Digital Park” at McKinley Hill, aiming to support startups and entrepreneurs in the Philippines.

The new initiative, called Common Ground Digital Park McKinley Hill, will span 2,000 square meters inside the Intellectual Property Center in Taguig City.

It will provide flexible office spaces, conference and event facilities, and innovation hubs for startups, freelancers, and remote teams.

“We are delighted to host Common Ground and their community of innovators in McKinley Hill,” said Jose Arnulfo Batac, president and CEO of MREIT. “This platform will support startup companies and serve as a collaborative space for people working and living in the township.”

Chris Edwards, CEO of The Flexi Group—Common Ground’s parent company—said the partnership marks a strategic move to expand in the Philippines.

“We are incredibly excited to leverage our partnership over the next few years to develop flexible workspaces in the Greater Manila Area and across the country,” he said.

Startups operating in McKinley Hill will have access to discounted rates and programs such as pitch sessions and investor meetups.

The project is positioned as a launchpad for early-stage firms across the region.

The Digital Park is expected to be rolled out in other Megaworld townships including Eastwood City, Iloilo Business Park, Southwoods City, and Capital Town in Pampanga.

The collaboration comes as demand for flexible, community-driven workspaces continues to grow post-pandemic.

For Megaworld, this move integrates innovation-driven tenants into its township model, while Common Ground strengthens its footprint in the Philippines’ startup ecosystem.

The initiative may also serve as a strategic value-add for MREIT’s portfolio, aligning with evolving workspace trends and digital entrepreneurship.
