One of the Philippines’ largest regional construction events opened its doors Thursday at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, with industry leaders vowing to drive innovation, sustainability, and deeper collaboration across the construction ecosystem.
Now in its 14th edition, Philconstruct Visayas 2025 brings together hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of industry professionals in a multi-day event organized by the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA) in partnership with the Cebu Contractors Association (CCA).
“This is a significant milestone and a testament to the strength, unity, and forward-thinking spirit of the Philippine construction industry,” said PCA President Engr. Gerardo Pancho in his welcome address. “Let us use this opportunity to forge stronger partnerships, embrace new technologies, and adopt practices that honor both our craft and the generations to come. Because today, we are not just building cities—we are shaping the future of our nation.”
Pancho lauded the efforts of organizers, stakeholders, and sponsors for continuously supporting the platform, which he said has evolved into “the premier regional event it is today.”
He underscored the event’s value to both businesses and the broader sector.
“Philconstruct offers numerous benefits, including increased brand awareness, lead generation, networking opportunities, and the chance to launch new products or services. It also provides critical market insights and allows for direct engagement with potential clients and partners,” he said.

The PCA president also had special praise for the CCA’s contributions.
Engr. Ruben Cueto, overall chairman of Philconstruct Visayas 2025 and first vice president of PCA, echoed these sentiments, describing the event as a personal and professional highlight.
“We come together, not only as professionals, but as a community of builders, dreamers, and doers,” said Cueto. “I speak with genuine pride and deep gratitude. It’s incredibly heartening to see this industry—an industry I have devoted my life to—united once again with passion, purpose, and hope for the future.”
Cueto emphasized the exposition’s expanding scope, which this year includes a strong spotlight on local craftsmanship. “As part of our commitment to supporting local industries, we are proud to showcase the talents of our local furniture manufacturing companies. We invite you to visit and explore the exhibits on the second floor, where you’ll find beautiful pieces that highlight the quality, craftsmanship, and creativity of our very own furniture industry.”

Visitors can expect to engage with cutting-edge technologies, sustainable building solutions, and product demonstrations from leading suppliers. Forums and business matching activities will also be held throughout the event, aimed at enhancing technical knowledge and commercial partnerships.
“Philconstruct has always been more than a show,” Cueto added. “It’s a space where ideas are born, partnerships are built, and futures are shaped. So I encourage each one of you to make the most out of it—ask questions, connect, collaborate, and be inspired.”
Philconstruct Visayas 2025 is part of the larger Philconstruct series of events held across key cities in the Philippines. The show serves as a barometer of trends in construction and infrastructure development, and this year’s edition is seen as a strong signal of renewed confidence and progress in the sector, especially in the post-pandemic recovery era.
Organizers see the exhibition as a key driver of decentralized growth in the Philippine construction sector, aligning with broader national efforts to stimulate regional economies.
