Galaxy Macau has signed a three-year strategic partnership with the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), strengthening Macau’s standing as a top-tier global destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) and international sporting events.
The agreement follows the successful hosting of the 2025 FIA Conference and Extraordinary General Assemblies from June 10 to 12 at the Galaxy International Convention Center (GICC).
The event brought together 446 delegates from 198 FIA member organizations representing 139 countries. It marked the first time Macau hosted the FIA Conference, solidifying the city’s capability to accommodate large-scale global gatherings.
Under the partnership, Galaxy Macau will serve as the official global partner and venue host for the FIA Conference in 2026 and 2027.
The alliance aligns with the Macao SAR Government’s strategic push to transform the city into a “City of Sports” and diversify its economy through initiatives such as “Tourism + MICE” and “Tourism + Sports.”
Galaxy Macau’s role as host of the FIA Conference further demonstrates its commitment to supporting Macau’s tourism and economic development agenda.
By attracting major international events and expanding its footprint in the MICE sector, the integrated resort is helping reposition Macau beyond gaming toward a more diversified and globally connected economy.
The FIA also confirmed Macau’s designation as the historic home of the FIA Formula Regional World Cup, further elevating the city’s profile on the global motorsport calendar.
The new partnership is expected to drive continued international attention to Macau, foster cross-border collaboration in motorsport and mobility innovation, and enhance the SAR’s appeal as a high-profile venue for world-class events.
