Philippine property developer Megaworld Corp has commenced a ₱2.5 billion redevelopment of Eastwood City, its flagship township in Quezon City, as part of a broader strategy to revitalize legacy assets and enhance the integrated urban experience.
The investment covers the upgrade of commercial spaces, lifestyle malls, and selected residential and office towers, including ongoing enhancements at Eastwood Citywalk, Eastwood Mall, and the Eastwood Mall Open Park.
Renovation of the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel and the phased refurbishment of office buildings — beginning with the recently completed IBM Plaza — are also part of the plan.
Eastwood Mall has already undergone a transformation, with refreshed interiors, upgraded cinemas, and a new mix of retail tenants.
Select sections now feature new lifestyle concepts, including the first Philippine location of SuperPark, a Finnish indoor activity park.
At Eastwood Citywalk, the popular nightlife hub Fuente Circle has been given a bold, Bourbon-inspired façade.
The site’s former cinema has been converted into REP Eastwood Theater, now home to Repertory Philippines. A modernized food park has also opened on the fourth level, introducing new dining options and interiors.
Further improvements are underway across parks and open spaces, particularly the Eastwood Mall Open Park, which is being redeveloped to host outdoor dining and lifestyle brands such as Harlan + Holden, SaladStop!, Matcha Tokyo, and Jamba Juice.
“This redevelopment reflects our commitment to keeping Eastwood vibrant, relevant, and future-ready,” said Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, Megaworld president.
Launched in 1997, Eastwood City is an 18.5-hectare mixed-use development known as the country’s first IT cyberpark and widely regarded as the cradle of the Philippines’ BPO industry.
Today, the township includes 23 residential towers, 11 office buildings, and three lifestyle malls, with nearly 500 retail and dining establishments.
