Siemens Healthineers Malaysia Wins Best Office Interior Award for Culture-Driven KL Headquarters

Siemens Healthineers Malaysia has received the Best Office Interior (Malaysia) award at the Asia Pacific International Property Awards 2024–2025, recognizing its newly launched Kuala Lumpur office as a benchmark for innovation in workplace design.

Created in partnership with global design and build firm Space Matrix, the office integrates flexibility, digital enablement, and cultural storytelling in line with the company’s global Human-Centric Collaboration approach.

“This isn’t just a design recognition. It’s a reflection of how we work and what we believe in as a global healthcare company,” said Jan Tiedermann, Finance Director of Siemens Healthineers Malaysia. “The office captures who we are: innovative, people-focused, and rooted in local culture. Most importantly, it supports our purpose: We pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare. For everyone. Everywhere. Sustainably.”

The new workspace features open collaboration zones, adaptable workstations, and Malaysia’s first Siemens Healthineers Customer Experience Center. A central highlight is the Work Café, designed to serve as a social and functional hub for employees. It hosts casual meetings, town halls, and celebrations in a modular, flexible setting.

Cultural expression is embedded throughout the space, with murals inspired by Malaysian street art and meeting rooms named after local landmarks, offering employees a strong sense of place and belonging.

“Designing the Siemens Healthineers Malaysia office was a deeply collaborative journey,” said Angela Chang, Managing Director, SEA at Space Matrix. “From the outset, our goal was to create a space that incorporates the unique blend of Siemens Healthineers’ German heritage, Malaysian culture, and healthcare innovation. This award reflects what’s possible when design is driven by purpose and shaped by the people who bring it to life.”

The award marks a milestone for Siemens Healthineers Malaysia as it continues to align its workspaces with a global push toward sustainability, collaboration, and employee-centric innovation.
