Truely Raises $2M in Up-Round to Expand Switchless eSIM for Global Travelers

Truely, the travel tech startup behind the Switchless™ eSIM platform, has secured an additional $2 million in funding, bringing its total capital raised to $5.5 million.

The latest round includes new backers DG Daiwa Ventures, Goodwater Capital, and Disrupt.com, with follow-on support from existing investor Beenext.

The fresh capital comes less than eight months after Truely closed a $3.5 million round in October 2024.

The funding will support product development, network expansion, and new enterprise tools aimed at frequent travelers and remote teams.

“I’m happy to announce this round and honored to have the trust of these investors as we continue building Truely,” said Simon Landsheer, Co-Founder and CEO. “As a frequent traveller myself, I truly feel like I’m building my dream product.”

Truely’s growth has accelerated since the May 2025 launch of its Truely 2.0 platform, which offers unlimited, roaming-free global data tailored to B2C users.

The company is also scaling B2B2C partnerships with online travel agencies, airlines, and fintech super-apps to embed its eSIM capabilities into third-party platforms.

DG Daiwa Ventures’ participation offers Truely access to Japanese distribution channels and corporate partnerships, particularly in East Asia’s outbound travel corridor.

“We see significant potential in tackling the growing inbound travel to Japan and partnering with Japanese corporates to drive further expansion,” DG Daiwa’s Makoto Ibi and Yuma Nishikawa said in a joint statement.

Goodwater Capital, a backer of consumer internet startups, is expected to support Truely’s expansion into high-frequency business travel segments.

The company also plans to roll out localized pricing and payments, team travel management features, and infrastructure upgrades aimed at reducing latency and improving quality of service across its 200+ supported destinations.

Based in Singapore, Truely aims to simplify global connectivity by eliminating the need for frequent eSIM reinstallation.

Its Switchless™ solution allows users to install once and update data plans on demand — a model that has gained traction among digital nomads and cross-border workers.
