INSEAD and the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM) have extended their strategic partnership for the Tsinghua-INSEAD Executive MBA (TIEMBA) programme for another five years, reinforcing a nearly two-decade collaboration between the two leading academic institutions.
The renewal was formalized at a ceremony in Beijing attended by faculty, students, staff, and alumni. Signed by INSEAD Dean Francisco Veloso and Tsinghua SEM Dean Bai Chong-En, the agreement will see the dual-degree programme continue through 2032.
Launched in 2007, the TIEMBA programme is a 22-month modular course tailored for senior professionals, offering a curriculum that blends Eastern and Western management philosophies.
It provides participants with access to five campuses across Fontainebleau, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Beijing, and Shenzhen. To date, over 680 global executives from 51 nationalities have completed the programme.
The TIEMBA is part of INSEAD’s broader Asia strategy. With its Asia Campus in Singapore established 25 years ago, INSEAD has positioned itself as a hub for leadership education in the region.
The school also runs an Asia track in its Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) programme and offers executive education and custom corporate training to companies operating in the Asia-Pacific.
Tsinghua SEM, founded in 1984, has built a strong reputation as one of China’s premier business schools.
It has cultivated international partnerships with institutions such as MIT and Columbia, and supports a growing network of over 100 university collaborations worldwide.
The extension of the TIEMBA programme underscores both institutions’ commitment to producing globally oriented business leaders.
Graduates will continue to benefit from dual alumni networks, diverse peer interactions, and access to two of the world’s top business school communities—equipping them to lead across industries and borders.
