WWF Earth Summit 2025 to Galvanize Asia-Pacific Action on Climate and Nature Transition

Global business leaders, policymakers, and environmental experts will gather in Singapore on May 23 for the WWF Earth Summit 2025, a pivotal regional event aimed at accelerating the climate–nature transition to achieve a net-positive future.

Hosted by WWF-Singapore at Marina Bay Sands, this year’s summit marks the third edition of the conservation group’s flagship conference series.

Held under the theme “Climate. Nature. Transition.”, the summit will focus on scaling nature-based solutions, unlocking innovative climate finance, and driving integrated strategies for climate resilience and biodiversity conservation.

It comes at a critical juncture, coinciding with the midpoint of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, the fast-approaching 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) deadline, and a year when countries are expected to renew Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.

“Net zero must evolve into net positive,” said Vivek Kumar, CEO of WWF-Singapore. “We need system-wide transformation where nature is at the core, and finance plays a catalytic role in achieving tangible environmental outcomes.”

The summit will feature high-level speakers including Paul Polman, former CEO of Unilever, Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, former COP20 President, and Joseph Teo, Singapore’s chief climate negotiator.

Other speakers hail from the Asian Development Bank, Enterprise Singapore, FairPrice Group, and City Developments Ltd, highlighting a multi-sector commitment to environmental progress.

Participants will discuss pathways to integrate biodiversity and climate targets into national policies and corporate strategies, with a sharp focus on the Asia-Pacific’s pivotal role in global climate solutions.

WWF aims to mobilize cross-sector collaboration and innovative financing at scale to help nations and industries transition toward sustainable, resilient growth.
