SINGAPORE – Cryptocurrency exchange HTX, together with TRON founder and HTX advisor Justin Sun, has launched the “Mars Program: Special Edition,” offering one user a fully funded $6 million space voyage, the company announced on Friday.
Running from May 7 to May 13, the campaign is open to HTX users who have completed Level 3 Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.
Five new finalists will be selected based on registration date, trading activity, net fee contributions, and asset balances. They will join seven earlier-selected candidates, forming a group of 12, from which one will be chosen to embark on the space mission alongside Sun in July 2025.
Justin Sun, a high-profile figure in the crypto industry known for his ventures across Web3 and traditional finance, is personally funding the $6 million ticket.
“This mission isn’t about elites or executives—it’s about empowering users,” Sun said in a statement. “Space exploration should be accessible. With this journey, we want to bring the crypto spirit beyond Earth’s limits.”
HTX’s Mars Program, which has completed seven previous rounds of candidate selections, marks a milestone in connecting blockchain innovation with broader global aspirations.
The Special Edition campaign broadens participation, reflecting HTX’s vision of an open and inclusive Web3 ecosystem.
Founded in 2013, HTX has expanded from a digital asset trading platform into a comprehensive blockchain services group, offering trading, derivatives, research, investment, and incubation services.
The company emphasizes global expansion and compliance as part of its strategic priorities.
By integrating space travel into its campaigns, HTX aims to position itself not only at the frontier of Web3 technology but also as a cultural driver bridging virtual finance and real-world dreams.
The winner of the Mars Program: Special Edition will be announced ahead of the scheduled July 2025 space flight.
