Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, Chaine Des Rotisseurs Host ‘Edible Masterpieces’ Dinner

CEBU CITY, Philippines – Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino hosted the Chaine Des Rotisseurs Cebu Bailliage’s 32nd Dinner Induction Amical on Saturday, March 29, transforming the Pacific Grand Ballroom into a vivid celebration inspired by the masterpieces of Vincent Van Gogh.

The event, themed “Edible Masterpieces,” brought together around 100 members of the esteemed gastronomic society, including board members led by Michel Lhuillier.

Guests experienced culinary creations meticulously crafted by executive chef Gerwin Bailon, designed to visually and gastronomically honor Van Gogh’s iconic artworks.

Highlights included Pelagic Lobster Bisque, Vincent’s Palette salad, and Painter’s Tide Chilean Sea Bass. The main course, “The Beautiful Mess,” featured sous vide Angus filet mignon, perfectly cooked medium-rare.

The evening concluded elegantly with the “Starry Starry Night” dessert, showcasing silky espresso paired with velvety panna cotta.

Each course was paired with carefully selected wines, enhancing both flavor and artistic presentation.

The occasion also marked the induction of new members into Chaine Des Rotisseurs, notably including Ali Banting, general manager of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

This induction emphasized the organization’s ongoing commitment to preserving the tradition of fine dining and fostering camaraderie.

“This year’s Dinner Induction Amical was a resounding success,” said Michel Lhuillier, Bailli Délégué of Cebu Bailliage. “I have never seen anything like this, not even in France. I have been all over the world, and this is one of the best!”
