Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) has topped off the Masters Tower Cebu, a 192-meter mixed-use tower that will house the Visayas and Mindanao region’s first Sofitel hotel, marking a major milestone in the flagship project’s development.
The structure, located in Cebu Business Park, is expected to be completed by mid-2026. The topping-off ceremony signals the completion of the tower’s structural framework and moves CLI closer to delivering one of Cebu City’s most iconic landmarks.
“Masters Tower Cebu reflects our commitment to building sustainable icons that not only celebrate Cebu’s heritage but drive its growth as a global hub for business and tourism,” said CLI Chairman and CEO Jose Soberano III.
The 2,840-sqm property is the tallest building in Cebu’s central business district and was designed by global architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in partnership with GF Partners Architects. It features a high-performance glass and aluminum façade, integrating elements that pay homage to Cebu’s woodcrafting tradition.
Masters Tower Cebu is also a LEED Gold-registered development, with sustainability features such as solar heat-reducing louvers, sky gardens, and over 7,000 square meters of premium Grade A office space across its 8th to 12th floors.
The tower will house Sofitel Cebu City, operated by global hospitality group Accor. The 5-star hotel will feature 195 luxury rooms, multiple dining options, a sky bar with 360-degree views, a spa, fitness center, business facilities, and a grand ballroom.
Sofitel Cebu City marks the eighth hotel property under CLI Hotels and Resorts, the developer’s hospitality arm. CLI’s hotel portfolio across Visayas and Mindanao comprises 10 properties with a total of 1,715 keys, including four operational hotels.
