Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker VinFast has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with MGA.414 Corporation, the operator of the JIGA auto service chain, to expand its service network in the Philippines, the companies said in a joint statement.
The partnership aims to establish over 100 VinFast service workshops across the country by the end of 2025, as the company accelerates its efforts to serve the growing EV market in the Philippines.
Under the MOU, VinFast and JIGA will designate select JIGA service centers as official hubs for warranty, maintenance, and repair of VinFast vehicles. These centers will adhere to VinFast’s standards on infrastructure, equipment, and workforce expertise, and will use only genuine spare parts.
VinFast will support JIGA through technical consultations, training programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
“The market for electric vehicles is expanding in the Philippines,” said Michael Abanero, president of JIGA. “This collaboration with VinFast enhances our service capabilities and supports the trend toward sustainable development.”
VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau said the agreement marks a strategic step in fulfilling the company’s commitment to offering a seamless ownership experience for Filipino EV buyers. “The combination of VinFast’s green vision and JIGA’s professional service network will help promote sustainable transportation in this market,” he added.
JIGA currently operates 16 service centers across the Philippines, including in Metro Manila, Iloilo, Bacolod, Roxas, and Cebu. The partnership is expected to leverage this footprint to accelerate the rollout of VinFast’s service infrastructure nationwide.
Since entering the Philippine market in 2024, VinFast has introduced a range of EV models and rolled out aggressive sales and after-sales policies. The company, a subsidiary of Vingroup JSC, is expanding across Southeast Asia as part of its “For a Green Future” strategy, replicating its Vietnam model in promising markets such as the Philippines.
