Orange Dental secures $1.5m from Northstar to expand ethical dental care in Indonesia

Orange Dental, an Indonesian dental clinic chain focused on accessible and ethical dental care, has received a $1.5 million investment from Singapore-based private equity firm Northstar Group.

The funding aims to support Orange Dental’s expansion across Indonesia and enhance its services.

Founded in 2014, Orange Dental operates 20 clinics across Greater Jakarta, serving more than 45,000 patients annually.

The company prioritizes affordable and high-quality dental care, targeting underserved communities.

Indonesia faces significant dental health challenges, with 88% of the population suffering from cavities and only 4% receiving proper fillings, according to the National Basic Health Research (Riskesdas).

“We are thrilled to welcome Northstar as a strategic partner in our mission to transform dental care in Indonesia,” said Orange Dental CEO Syifail Ramadhana. “This investment reflects our shared commitment to providing ethical and transparent dental services. With Northstar’s support, we will accelerate our expansion and strive to make quality dental care accessible to all Indonesians.”

The investment will enable Orange Dental to develop new clinic concepts, catering to diverse market segments.

Northstar Vice President Michelle Irawan emphasized the alignment of Orange Dental’s mission with the firm’s focus on improving healthcare access in Southeast Asia.

Orange Dental leverages a cost-effective operating model to deliver affordable care, building trust within communities.

Northstar’s backing underscores confidence in Orange Dental’s ability to address Indonesia’s pressing dental health needs while maintaining ethical practices.
