The Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB) announced it will host a virtual event in February 2025 to promote inbound tourism and strengthen international business ties.
The “Virtual Tour of Tokyo 2025” will take place on the bureau’s online business matching platform, Tokyo Tourism Connection, offering travel industry professionals a chance to discover new aspects of Tokyo and develop innovative tour packages.
The event will feature two programs highlighting different facets of the city. The first, titled “Tokyo Islands Chill Out – Hachijojima Island,” runs from February 10 to 15 and focuses on the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Hachijojima, one of Tokyo’s remote islands.
Participants will explore sustainable tourism opportunities, including trekking and local cuisine, to create fresh itineraries that emphasize nature and relaxation.
The second program, “Tokyo New Basic,” scheduled from February 17 to 22, will showcase the seamless blend of tradition and innovation in areas such as Harajuku, Ginza, Asakusa, and Shinjuku.
The program is designed to inspire travel professionals to introduce Tokyo’s latest cultural experiences to both first-time and repeat visitors.
Participation in the event is free of charge, with prior registration required on the Tokyo Tourism Connection website.
The platform serves as a hub for connecting international travel companies with Tokyo-based tourism businesses, providing resources and networking opportunities to design unique travel experiences.
The TCVB aims to use the event to expand Tokyo’s global tourism appeal and support the development of new travel products that align with the city’s reputation for innovation and cultural richness.
Organizers expect the event to strengthen Tokyo’s position as a leading destination for international visitors.
