PHILIPPINES – SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SM Prime), a leading integrated property developer in Southeast Asia, has announced the opening of SM City Caloocan on May 17.
This new mall, located along Deparo Road in Barangay 171, Bagumbong, is SM Prime’s third in Caloocan City and the first in the northern cluster, adding over 94,000 square meters of gross floor area to its retail portfolio.
SM City Caloocan follows the successful launches of SM City Sangandaan and SM City Grand Central, both situated in the southern part of Caloocan City.
“With the opening of SM City Caloocan, we bring to the northern part of the city the same world-class shopping experience we offer in the southern part with our SM City Grand Central, opened just over two years ago,” said SM Prime President Jeffrey Lim.
He added, “We also hope to attract patrons from neighboring cities as we have more than 90,000 square meters of retail space curated to serve and cater the demands of highly urbanized residents of these communities.”
The new mall will feature three levels of mixed-use commercial space, offering a variety of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Notable SM brands such as The SM Store, SM Supermarket, Watsons, Miniso, Surplus, Ace Hardware, SM Appliance, Crocs, Uniqlo, and BDO will be present.
The mall will also include an SM Food Court, SM Cinema with three regular theaters, a Wellness Space, Cyberzone, three large-format indoor amusement areas, and an air-conditioned Sky Plaza.
For added convenience, SM City Caloocan will provide nearly 1,200 parking slots, a public transport terminal, and an Electric Vehicle Charging Station (ECVS) on the third level, promoting sustainable transportation in the area.
This year, SM Prime plans to open three additional malls: SM City J Mall in Mandaue, Cebu; SM City San Fernando La Union; and SM City Laoag. These expansions align with SM Prime’s commitment to driving economic growth through innovative and sustainable developments, enhancing the quality of life for millions.
